I T G I R L S | Release Review

Monday saw a new injection of clothing and accessories into It Girls, it's been a while since we've had one there, so it was most welcome from me! I love the homepage advert, I think it shows off the key pieces released but in a minimalistic way - it just makes me wanna buy them and wear my hair and makeup like that!
So here's the floor of pieces - there's a nice mix of items there, although I do think some pieces don't fit into the collection as well as others do. The collection has some clear winners, namely the Beckham Faux Fur Coat (It's SS only unfortunately, but it's worth the price!) and the Deep V Wrap Dress. Prices are a little high for the store and some of the designs I think, ranging from 7 to 26, with all clothing above the teens in SD's and only two accessory pieces in coins (and I'm not a fan of these two pairs of shoes really.) In the end I bought 4 items and even then it still came to over 60SD's which I was a little shocked about - and that wasn't even including the  26SD Beckham Faux Fur Coat which I am looking forward to buying if I renew my membership!
Overall I'd say most of the collection is versatile enough for everyone to make some good looks with and to slip it seamlessly into your current wardrobes =)
Hopefully Styled Outfits will come soon, but I'm very busy and tired so we'll have to see =)

Winter is coming

--Kayley is super ready for winter with this amazing look - the coat made completely from a whole host of different pieces, including stoles, belts and skirts! Plus that emerald bag is amazing - it's made from 2 different ones. I need this sort of creativity in my life!!! Pretty please Stardoll make us some great coats and jackets just like this^^

Perched on top

I meant to post this last weekend, but it must have slipped my radar when I was checking out my saved files, sorry! Anyway it's yet another look from the ever stylish Marbum - this look has such a great autumn feel to it, and I love the jacket combined with that wonderful hair and the pair of sunglasses perched on top - a fab look overall! Plus I also wanted to show a little of her suite, which as usual, looks amazing - I need her to seriously come and do my whole suite for me! Haha =D

Social Media

This is just a very quick post to notify you about the blogs presence on Social Media, more particularly, Facebook! I really should have posted months ago when I set up the page ... but here it is now!

Feel free to add me as a friend on your Stardoll Facebook accounts and please please please "Like" the blog page and make sure to share our updates to try and gain a wider audience for the blog through your Stardoll friends =D

Was it really that long ago? | N E L L Y S T Y L E D O U T F I T S

Ok, so turns out the Nelly that I said I'd do a Styled Outfits post for came out like a month ago ... how did that happen?!?! I could have sworn it was just a few weeks ago! Oh well, all the Nelly pieces are still available, so I guess it's better late than never, so here is my Styled Outfits post =D
The Nelly pieces that I included in my looks are:
NLY Cardigan - 22SD

I love the cardi rather a lot, especially the colour, which I think will look fab in these colder months, and I tried to style it in both a more dressed up and a dressed down look. The striped dress looks good with it, which was a bit of a random pairing when I was looking through my clothes, but it works, and I also love it with little ankle boots! Despite the cardi being quite close to navy, I do think it works very well with black, so there's no worries about it matching well to a lot of pieces in your closet!
Then I styled the Tres En Vogue sweater, a piece which I haven't gotten around to styling until now. The shape is a little tricky, and it did take some trial and error to find good bottom halves to work with it, but I think both the trousers and skirt look pretty good with it! The Nelly ankle boots were a must for me with this sweater, no idea why, but they do look quite nice and they are super versatile and will work with most styles.
I lastly styled the shorts - only one look here because I'm just not very good at wearing shorts, they're not really one of my favourite items of clothing to be honest. Anyway, I ended up going for a more transitional look from summer into autumn because autumn here is far too cold for shorts, they look great with a simple white shirt and one of my favourite jackets (the Medley Jacket, it's 50% off and last chance to buy right now!!!) - I accessorised simply with just a black pair of courts, with these shorts I think simplicity really is the best look for them!

I do seem to have based ALL of the looks on black, which really is just a coincidence, I do try to get variety! Anyway, let me know what you think - and if you have any ideas for clothing items you might want me to give a go at styling, just let me know!

Styling Shoes Challenge #4 | Grunge Stilettos

Sorry it's been a while since the last post of this, but I've been very very busy with my RL! Anyway, on with my looks for this pair of shoes =)
Ages ago when I put these shoes out to style for this challenge, I was really excited for them, but styling these looks over the weekend was pretty tricky, and I'm not even sure I like them! However I'll publish this anyway in case some of you guys have great stylings with the shoes!

They look good as a stand out coloured piece, so my looks have really focused on simple colours - although I experimented with the pink there a little, in my mind it worked, in reality? Not so much! But oh well, I gave it a shot! I think they do look great in the second two looks though, the grey just seems to work nicely with them though, and they also look good with either a dress or trousers.

I don't really have much else to say - but maybe if you've styled them, you could show me in the comments? =D xx

Classic minimal

Loved this classic white look from Isabella13000 this weekend! The black detailing at the collar and in the belt are both great, and the black heels were a perfect choice - the little anklet is such a cute and thoughtful addition to the look as well^ Plus the Fendi keyring on the Chanel clutch seems quite genius!

Mia1435 has done it again with this fab look featuring this Military Coat which was a Royalty Gift to promote a new store which is coming (I'm currently nonSS so I don't know much about it nor did I get the gift, but I don't really mind =D). Anyway, she's gone with the theme of the jacket style and colour in choosing mostly black clothing with that quirky knit. I'm a particular fan of the deep emerald brogues, they look great and are really what drew me to feature this look - well done!

P R E T T Y 'N L O V E | Release Review

This week has been very busy, but I managed to get a lot of stuff done, so that was good, unfortunately posting took a back burner! However yesterday we got a new release of Pretty 'n Love - these are always usually pretty good because they always have versatile pieces with decent prices, so lets take a look:
There are very autumn-y colours in this release and I particularly like that deep raspberry/burgundy ones. Prices range from 5 to 25SD's, with just a couple of pieces in coins which I thought a little disappointing as Pretty 'n Love usually does deliver well on the coin front.
Stardoll has also really worked on textures in this release with the velvet, which I love seeing and think more would be great in the Plaza! The florals and pastels seem a little too 'Spring' to me, however there's nothing wrong with the pieces themselves and the patternings on them are nice- the Ink Print Top for example.
The appeal with this is definitely more aimed at the girlier/feminine styles really, but hey, the shop is called Pretty 'n Love, so it's what it says on the tin really! In general the pieces really would be easy to slip into your current closets so everything is pretty wearable.
I ended up buying 4 items, which I think are the easiest to style or most versatile pieces of the release, and it did come to around 50SD's, a price I wasn't expecting, I am pretty happy with my purchases and I'm even including some styled outfits with them to maybe give you guys some ideas =)
I ended up going for one look for each piece, I think I love the Linen Shawl the most, and I really look forward to putting together more looks for it, I'm seeing it as a key piece for this season in my Stardoll closet, plus it's only 10SD's =)

So what do you guys think of the release and what I've done with the pieces? Comment below - also post a picture if you think you've styled one of the new items particularly well!

And Today I Wore

I haven't changed my outfit in like a week purely because I haven't had time =/ But I went pretty simple with this, going for the new-ish Hotbuys Belted High Pants however I have seemed to have covered them up with this PPQ jacket, a piece I always want to wear but haven't quite mastered yet!!!

Charcoal Streetstyle Overcoat - Styled By You

Recently I've been seeing a lot of the Strike-a-Pose Charcoal Streetstyle Overcoat all over the place, I think it's because we're just coming into autumn now and it' a good key piece for the season! This post features looks by El3ktrO_Girl and SoniaBellaStone who have both gone for quite street-sporty sort of looks with their coats!
El3ktrO_Girl has gone for fab loose trousers with some great trainers, adding a glam touch with the Moschino inspired belt and the almost quite retro sunglasses, while SoniaBellaStone has gone for a slightly more done-up look overall with the black hareem styled trousers and heels, but added her sports touch in the sweater. That Antidote bag is also a great touch!

I'm really thinking I better get around to styling mine!!!

Winter florals

Kladiaaa is absolutely rocking the Hotbuys Posed Fall Look in this outfit today! She's gone for winter florals with the trousers and picked out the great lilac for the bag - it looks awesome hanging over the wrist like that! Plus those earrings are fab, not something I'd usually notice or point out, but I really like them =)

To buy or not to buy!

That is the question which came up with the most recent Hotbuys release - the Hotbuys Posed Fall Look which costs a hefty 68SD's!
I do think it is a great piece, and we're lucky to get a pose outside the Strike-a-Pose store, plus it's available to everyone and not just SS members. The thick knit with the stylish black quilted cape are both perfect autumn/winter trends which I really love and I do think I'd make good use of them this upcoming season - right now I'm thinking with the black Dior Couture trousers probably? So although I haven't bought this piece yet, I think I will - despite the price, I think it will be worth it!

What about you guys - gonna go for this piece? Or is the price enough to make you back off, please tell me in the comments below!!!

casual business

My new Angelina Jolie doll.
A casual business look.

Rolled Cuff Tuxedo Jacket • Girls Monster
Bandeau Bra Apricot • Under Neath Stardoll
Michael Stage Trousers • ROYALTY
Everyday bag • nelly.com
Jennifer Pumps • pals

Dress on top

Well shazaib12 has done it yet again! Love this very less-than-conventional styling of a black dress, it looks amazing with those leather-look trousers (I have these and they generally come with a little struggle in the styling department!) and also the jacket. Plus it's a good look with those shoes - I haven't worn my pair yet, but I can see them getting put on with those trousers! The platinum blonde hair also gives a good overall feel with this look - well done!
